Newquay

yeeeeep today I went to newquay. That was by far the highlight. But before, I finished off Kits picture (at last - should get to you on monday if the post is okay). I also parceled up a tshirt that isnt mine and sent it back to my sister. She’d better give me that £1.63 postage back.

But that is beside the point.

Me and Jodie planned to go to falmouth today to buy marbles and material. See we want marbles to just drop in places so people might find them. Because whenever you find a marbles, you’re like wooow :D cool! Well, I am at least. And so is Jodie so we decided to give it a go :] We also wanted material to patch up the holes in my jeans on the knees. I thought some funky fabric as patches would work pretty well :]

Well, instead of falmouth we decided to go to Newquay instead because jodie said very truthfully that we could just go anywhere, and seeing as I’d never been we decided to go!

Before that though we needed to go to the library on campus to photocopy a picture. So we left, and were almost immediately confronted by a hailstorm that got worse and worse so we DIVED for shelter. As it happens a girl called Rosie from London had her door open so we went in her flat for a bit and said hello. Man it pouuuured down with rain for a bit. Then we left and I took two miniature Daim bars from the floor (there was a big bag of them) One each. But Jodie has yet to eat hers.

mmmm yep. photocopying was done. Then we stood outside under some shelter and contemplated the rain and I took this picture:

In the bag: parcelled up T-shirt, a drawing in an envelope, and three other copies of it.

On the way to Jodies car we found a cat:

:)

Before we got to the car we had this conversation, which I thought would be suitable for the thing I have of little everyday conversations:

Tom: We should stop off somewhere for a hot chocolate
Jodie: Where?
Tom: Anywhere we see one
Jodie: A service station?
Tom: Yeah
Jodie: Ok

blip.

Got in the car, and got out the CD’s for the journey :D

Then we drove, with aid from Jodies iPhone and google maps to newquay. Using the little map and seeing the little dot that was us travelling along the road was so cool =D Much easier to follow than the text-based instructions as well.

Journey.

When we got there we saw a little Café which turned out to be amaaazing, it had sofas and chairs and a piano that was all decorated and magazines and stuff :) There was a book about people who paint their cats. It was weird, but pretty cool in places.

We both had these amazing deluxe hot chocolates, so so chocolatey, really nice. With marshmallows and cream and chocolate topping. just mmmmmmm :) :) Would love to have another sometime. When we were done we took the mugs back to the kitchen and said thank you and good-bye.

We also had a nice conversation with a man (and I had another conversation with another man previously when I went on my own) about the non-functioning ticket machine at the car park. In the end we didn’t get a ticket, we just wrote a note and put it in the windscreen of the car, and it worked!

We walked round Newquay for a bit (the bay there looks soooo cool, its massive and has a shit ton of white surf, but we didn’t go down to the beach) We bought marbles (“Marbles, aye sir?” “Yep!” “Cheers” “You can keep the 2p [change] if you like” “Thanks, bye!”) and posted the things that needed posting, and I bought two nice new jumpers, and jodie got a coat :) suits her. ummmmm Oh yeah I also got a book:

Reading a little bit of it it seems so good, its about someone describing their experiences of summer. Maybe I’ll keep it until summer of next year.

On the way back to the car we saw “end of the days pasties, £1 each” so I bought us one each and they were damn good. We then drove home listening to gorillaz and played a prank on people by knocking on jodies door and looking through the peep hole then climbing out the window. Oh it was good :]

Mac and cheese was weird, but I’ve eaten it and it’s filled me, so that’s okay I guess. I wasnt something more now though. Maybe chocolatey. :)

Remeber, remember

mmmm the day.

I had my review thing in the morning. But before that i got into doing some filming. i had to play someone that looked like a girl from behind in a bar to a drunk person, then wake up next to them the next day to their horror.

See the film in all its glory below (it’s good stuff) Note: I didn’t do any of the story, filming or editing. I was a mere homosexual pawn in their film studies games.

Anyway. Then I had my review thing, for which I was late because I had to photograph my snails then get the pics onto a computer and make a postcard back. I then got a lift with the lovely jodie into town, which was good because otherwise I would have had no way in until the next bus by which time I would be really, really late.

So yeah I rushed around thinking argh ! and printed my stuff out and arrived ten minutes late and apologised but Mafalda (tutor) was okay with it. She then proceded to tell me to work bigger and write everything down and do more which I basically knew anyway. Then on the way home I drew my bus ticket that you can see below.

Later on that evening there was stuff to be done in town due to fireworks. We went to the beach which was cool, not alot of fireworks cos we missed them…. BUT it was still nice. I pulled out a couple of skeaky carlsbergs I’d stashed in my back pockets (a girl on the bus gave me a funny look cos it looked like I was floating about two inches above the bus seat on the way there because I was sitting on bottles) and me and jodie supped on them for a bit.

The main attractions on the beach were fire people that could do impressive stuff with fire. i.e. fire Poi and fire stick juggling.

There was also a bonfire which we later heard was put out by the bastard police.

I got sand in my shoes. Had an epic shake when I got on hard ground again.

Theeeennnn we went to the pub for a drink which was real nice. The Chain Locker was the pub of choice - Falmouth folk might know it, I think its real nice :]

mmmm yeah on the way back me, jodie and Ed Stone were enticed by some live music so we went in some other pub and bought a drink. Then everyone else wasnt keen so we were like arg…. cos they were just going to get a taxi home, leaving us like chumps. Well ed didn’t get a drink so he went with them, so me and jodie went to sit in the (empty) upstairs bit for a while. Then we thought meh lets just go, put our pints up our sleeves and walked casually out. Drank our drinkies waiting for the taxi and all was well!

Got home and the evening went well :]

Skating a long windy way down from uni into town the other day I came across a little seat at the top of a set of stairs so people could rest. I liked it :]

right

I’ve got like three days of adventures to document, and the time is right. I have mac and cheese from a packet (chav), still in the saucepan cos I cant be bothered  dirtying a bowl n shit (double chav)

So I’m eating like a dirty student, but it tastes good and I have music and a general feeling of calm so alls well.

Here comes some of what my life has involved in the past three days.

Here’s the final result. O wasn’t keen on coming out, but the other two started crawling about when they were put back outside which made for a good final photo :]

  • You: I never want this feeling to end
  • Me: What feeling?
  • You: I know you know what feeling I mean.
  • .
  • This made me smile for at least 30 seconds, and I would have smiled much longer if I hadn't have said why I was smiling so much.

Todays bus ticket.

I ripped the “Matrix Remix” off it before I got off the bus because it was gay.
